MARTIN TURK, writer/director
Born in 1978 in Trieste (Italy). He graduated film directing at Ljubljana Film Academy (AGRFT). His films were screened at over one hundred film festivals worldwide, including Cannes - Quinzaine. In 2009 he was selected for the 18th session of the Cannes Cinefondation Residence where he developed his first feature film Feed Me With Your Words. Film was released in 2012. It's festival circuit includes Montpellier, Sao Paolo, Torino, Mumbai, Tallin, New York, Los Angeles, San Jose, Oporto, Pula,.... In April 2016 he premiered short film A Well Spent Afternoon which was presented at more than 34 international film festivals, including FilmFest Dresden, Edinburgh IFF, Sarajevo IFF, Leeds, Montpellier, TIFF – Kids, Oberhausen Int. Short Film Festival, where it won evo Promotional Award of the Children's Jury. Film has been also acquired for German distribution.
Currently he is in postproduction of feature film A Good Day's Work, winner of Sarajevo Film Festival pilot project' Sarajevo City Of Global Screen. Film is produced by Turkish public television TRT and coproduced by Obala Art Centar, Sarajevo and Bela Film, Ljubljana.
